What began in 1974 as Laredo Moving & Storage has grown, across three generations of the Hrncir family, into the warehousing, rail, and distribution operation known today as LMS International.

Half a century of steady growth — more warehouses, more rail, and the equipment to handle the heaviest industrial cargo on the border.
1974
IT BEGINS
Laredo Moving & Storage Company is established by Mr. Leon Hrncir.
The first warehouse, at 1908 Aduanales Rd., provides 10,000 sq ft of storage space.
1980
It Continues
Laredo Moving & Storage is incorporated.
Leon's son, Bill Hrncir, is tasked with developing a commercial warehousing & distribution branch to diversify from moving & storage.
The company officially branches out into commercial storage.
1990
It Grows
Bill Hrncir establishes several mid-size commercial accounts — including Sam's Warehouse — providing storage for wholesale operations going into Mexico.
LMS incorporates computerized inventory control.
1992
It Grows Some More
Multiple warehouse expansions add additional storage space.
Improved equipment brings the crane count to four.
A Trackmobile is purchased to improve rail efficiency.
1996
Here Comes More Rail
LMS purchases two more warehouses to satisfy growing client demand.
The company branches into the steel market and begins doing business as LMS International.
Rail access is added to Warehouse 6 to meet client needs.
2002
We Keep Growing
Another warehouse is purchased, adding 117,000 sq ft of space.
Added rail dock space expands the commodity base into paper, lumber, copper, zinc, aluminum & more.
Inventory systems are updated and multiple crane & forklift upgrades are made.
2018-25
Billy Takes the Helm
LMS adds a forklift capable of moving up to 55,000 lbs.
A massive overhaul of the digital surveillance system covers the warehouse & yard.
Another warehouse is added, along with additional 20-ton crane capacity.
The third generation, Billy Hrncir, takes the helm.
